The gorgeous Akamas peninsula, on the north western tip of the island has a unique beauty. This peninsula is named after Akamas, son of Theseus, who in Greek Mythology, landed here en route from the Trojan War, and is purported to be one of Aphrodite’s lovers.
Akamas region is a coastal area in Paphos district. It is an area of great natural beauty. The diversity of wildlife in this area is of outstanding ecological importance for Mediterranean.

Akamas national park?
Από πότε;

Hi Phivos

Greetings to you! I am from Coimbatore,India. You have a marvelous blog here. Beautiful photos, lovely music, great video. Tell me if Cyprus is entirely Greek or is there a bit of Turkey there too ? The script appears to be Greek (I am guessing)
I read only your most recent post and I am very impressed. Its done extremely professionally. I shall take time out to read the rest of your posts more leisurely over cups of coffee or cans of beer.

Thank you and God Bless You.

R.Ramakrishnan. Namaste! Dhanyavad.
I have enjoyed visiting your blog!
Regarding CYPRUS my country: On 20 July 1974, Turkey with 40,000 troops invaded the defenceless Republic of Cyprus. Since 1974, 37% of the island is under Turkish military occupation and 200,000 Greek Cypriots, 40% of the total Greek Cypriot population, were forced to leave their homes in the occupied area and were turned into refugees. The invasion of Turkey and the occupation of 37% of the island's territory as well as the continuing violation of the fundamental human rights of the people of Cyprus have been condemned by international bodies, such as the UN General Assembly, the Non-aligned Movement, the Commonwealth and the Council of Europe. On May 1st, 2004 Cyprus became a member of European Union.
Best regards Philip

Namaste & Hi Phillip

Thank you for the information about the Turkish invasion. God willing one day the Turks will be compelled to vacate and Cyprus will get back the occupied territory.

Have you been to India ? How did you pick up the Hindi Greetings ?What are the Greek equivalents?

Dhanyavad & Good Day

Ramakrishnan. Namaste Ram. Dhanyavad, thank you for your so kind comments and interest for my little country.
As you say, I do believe that sooner of later the Turkish occupied forces invated Cyprus in 1974 will draw back from Cyprus.
The equivalent of Namaste is YIA or YIA SOU.
I have been to India last year and I have some articles on your country in my blog. Check the "labels" - Asia or on the right sight of the blog, click on the pictures you see. There is Taj Mahal and Gandi grave. Check them.
Kind regards, Philip
