Cyprus... the Island of love

Paphos city in Cyprus is the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty.

The rock of Aphrodite (Petra tou Romiou, "Stone of the Greek") emerges from the sea. According to legend, Aphrodite rose from the waves in this strikingly beautiful spot

Cavo Greco in Amμochostos.

Cyprus is one of Europe's most sought after vacation countries, and with good reason.

Awasome beauty next to the beach in Paphos.

A modern Aphrodite resting after playing with the waves of the blue sea.

Pool next to to coast.

The cosmopolitan beach of Ayia Napa.

Protaras, summer homes.

Another Aphrodite collecting herself.

Cyprus beauties attract thousands of tourists world-wide on account of its fun-loving outlook by night and its sandy Mediterranean beaches by day.

Ayia Napa famous golden beaches are awesome with thin and soft golden sand.

The water is crystal clear with a lovely blue-green colour.

Even if you are a swimming pool person, visiting Agia Napa’s & Protara's beaches will surely convert you.

Walk around topless and feel comfortable doing it.

The famous beach of Grecian bay is one of the best beaches on the island.

Tha capital city of Cyprus, Lefkosia (Nicosia) is located in the middle of the island.

Fly me to the moon... or to the Island of love...

Ακτή... πολύπαθη πόσες ιστορίες καλοκαιρινές θα γράψεις ακόμα;

The Cyprus beaches look lovely! Great photos and I noticed the word Petra there too. Hmm ...from a Petras.

@ Janie. The legend of Aphrodite is fascinating indeed! A lot of landmarks are associated with Aphrodite except the birth shore known as the Aphrodite Rocks or "Petra tou Romiou", like the the "Baths of Aphrodite", the "Fountain of Love", or Fontana Amorosa and others.

@ Debbie. The Cyprus beaches are waiting for you Debbie! The word 'petra' in Greek means 'stone'. No doubt your surname has a Greek origin Mrs. Petras!!

@ Vaggelis.

@ magiceye. Who wouldn't!!

It is very nice to see the map of the region here!

Another thing I like is your music; Andrea Bocelli singing Con te partirò with Sarah Brightman is one of my all time favourites :)
