Goteborg, Sweden

Elina Hjalmarsson & Erica Hertzberg

As usually, in all of our trips we meet new people and we make new friendships. When last year we have traveled to Goteborg, we had the great chance to meet the charming Erica Hertzberg and Elina Hjalmarsson who love Greece and try to learn some Greek. We keep in touch with them and today we have received this picture (above) which reminded us the beautiful trip we had in their lovely country.

I like to travel in other countries and places to experience new cultures, new ideas, history, scenery and to see other people. For me travelling is something which has to do with learning ‘other’ and ‘others’! Travelling all these years around the world, I fount out that I have broaden my mind being more open and reciprocate to change, tolerant to others and less racist…Goteborg, Sweden

Thank you Erica and Elina for being our friends! TACK!

Cute young ladies!
I agree, those who have travelled seem much more broad-minded about many things.

The two girls are certainly Swedish beauties. I'm not surprised that you make friends wherever you go Philip. You are just that kind of a person and you always show interest in others. I think you're a good friend to have.

@ Debbie. One of the best things I enjoy very much is making new friends all over the world. The world is so small, especially if you don't consider yourself as a unique in the universe...
Thank you my dear friend Debbie for your kind words.

I agree completely with the sentiments expressed today on your outstanding site. That is one of the reasons that I have started a new blog to show some of my travel photos. I appreciate your stopping by to visit the site, and apologize that I did not have it ready with my first post before you visited. I have now done my first post, which happens to be a few photos from Petra, Jordan. I hope you find my site of interest.

I always tell my friends that everyone should have the opportunity to travel for the same reason that you've mentioned, to promote better understanding, tolerance and above all respect for other cultures. There's so much to learn from the world outside of our everyday lives. Like you, we always make friends wherever we go and our friendships enrich our lives as they are lasting.
I'm sure that these two ladies are thrilled to have become friends with your family.
