Beauties of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a Balkan country that was formerly part of Yugoslavia. Sarajevo where I live, is the capital and the largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a population of 400,000 inhabitants. Sarajevo is one of the most historically interesting cities in Europe. The interior of the country is mountainous centrally and to the south, hilly in the northwest, and flatland in the northeast.
Under the winter sky.
Beautiful hillside view.
Bjelašnica is a ski centre, approximately 25 km away from Sarajevo, on the mountain with the same name, known for the Olympic dive from the year 1984.

Bjelašnica is the highest ski centre in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

White beauty at its best.

The beauty of rocks.

Everythig and everyone is special and beautiful.

Picturesque photo! A breathtaking scenery.
Amazing mother nature.

Discovering amazing rocks!

Even the dogs play in snow.

The harmony of the nature.

Wow, snow! I always think of my childhood when I hear about Bosnia Herzegovina, as my grandfather was born and raised in Sarajevo.

Simply beautiful! My family is from the former Yugoslavia...our last name is Lemich (I think it was actually Lemic or Lemiche-not sure exactly) before they came to America.

I would love to be able to visit someday & locate relatives still there.

Thanks for allowing me to visit via the internet!
