My home town is Helsinki, the capital of the Republic of Finland, a beautiful and a modern city with over half a million residents. It is situated on the Baltic Sea. The Archipelago that surrounds Helsinki with hundreds of small islands creates an idyllic environment and a unique scenery of exceptional natural beauty. Helsinki is one of the Northern European cities.

The lifestyle in this northern capital city is full of contrasts and activities in the form of hundreds of events and friendly people.

Life doesn’t stop when winter arrives and the ground is full of snow.

Authentic nature and untouched wilderness with rare species of plants and animals, creates a unique setting for Finnish ski resorts.

We the Finns not only survive during winter, but we enjoy it!

Helsinki is a sea-town par excellence and an exciting, dynamic place.

Winter has a special charm here, and the best way of banishing those scary subzero temperatures is to get active!

Finnish design has made the country’s capital city world famous.
A winter vacation in a Finnish ski resort is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Looking good in Helsinki!

Wonderful winter post and so appropriate for the cold temps we've had here. Helsinki looks great, my best friend was there last year and shared his snowy photos. I suppose that if I start to really miss snow I could plan a trip to Helsinki & get my fix.
Great, fun photos!
