Belly dancing!

Formerly named Byzantium and Constantinople, the city that’s known as Istanbul today holds an illustrious place in history as the capital of an empire and place of cultural developments. (Picture: Ayia Sophia one of the most famous sites in the city).
Istanbul's Orient Express Restaurant since 1890 (former famous train station) specializes in authentic Turkish cuisine.
Sirkeci Gare facade in Istanbul a neo-classical building in pink and white which is beautifully preserved. An essential stop for fans of the Orient Express and Agatha Christie, the final stop of the world's most famous train.
Istanbul is known for many things: Its fascinating history, its many cultural landmarks, and its unique geographical position as the crossing point between Asia and Europe.
Gorgeous Aysegul Tastaban Erzincanoglu from Istanbul, with the background of the magical city.
The city offers a variety of nightlife and entertainment, according to your desires and pocket!
There are several centers of nightlife all over the city: Ortakoy at the Bosporus (European side), the Istiklal Street from Taksim to Tünel (European side), Aksaray and more.
A diverse city that is both cosmopolitan and entrenched in tradition.
With a great climate most part of the year, there are plenty of ways to enjoy a little adventure on land and the sea.
Our friends Olga and Semina from Athens, Greece, exploring by boat ride Bosporus Strait.
There are many things to do after the sun goes down in Istanbul than you might imagine.
A city full of magnificent monuments of both religious and historical significance.

On the top right corner, Semina, Olga and Elina. Kika, Chryso and Popi enjoying a traditional ride on coach! Popi and Chryso buying chestnuts in the streets of the city.

When the sun comes down, the city is completely different...
Turkish style night life with folklore music and dances.
Yeap, here we are! The art of belly dancing also known as 'oriental dancing', originated from the Middle East   region many centuries ago. It was popularized in western countries in the late 1890's.

Belly dancer... ready to dance. Belly dance takes many different forms depending on country and region, both in costume and dance style.
Belly dancer... ready to start her performance.

Belly dance is a language of the body and it gives the opportunity for an expanded sense of communication.

The moves of this dance and their meanings are a universal expression.
Belly dancing combines dance movement with the crafts of drama, costuming, exercise, and self expression.
Belly dancing has entranced audiences around the world for centuries. Despite its name, belly dancing draws on full body movement from head to toe — not just the belly!

Friendship around the world.

I could say : «I love belly dance because it’s exotic»!

Naughty Phivos, I've seen you with the belly dancer in one of the pictures. It's OK, as I think your wife or lady friend (in another picture) was keeping an eye on you.

Anyway, Istanbul is indeed a cosmopolitan city with a rich historical background ,and it's a Must to visit it.

What a wonderful & beautiful place. The belly dancing looks amazing. I took jazz, tap & ballet for years...I know how hard that type of dancing must be.
