Beauties of South Africa

The Telkom 2010 Soccer Tower above, is a true beacon reminding us of South Africa hosting the 2010 Soccer World cup (Pretoria).

A visit to Sabini, a game farm near Warmbaths.

Me on the top of the world.
We frequented our favourite piece of paradise in the Southern Drakensberg, Cathedral Peak.

During a recent visit to the Monte Casino Bird Park, I managed to take these picturess of my favourite animal, the Meerkat. They have got such curious personalities. This one is definitely a Mama Meerkat on the watch-out i.e. checking out all the human bypassers. Still feel sorry to see them all cooped up in a little enclosure, whilst in nature they roam a huge area.
Sabini, a game farm near Warmbaths.
From our visit to Sabini Game Farm near Bella Bella. Above: Nyala calf.
I am sure that most of you South Africans who have spent some time in the Bushveld, will agree that its definitely good for the soul.

At Makaranga Garden Lodge.

Above and Below: Awesome sunsets we feasted our eyes on during our sundowner game drives.
Me and Conroy have done the 6-day Tsitsikamma hiking trail (Western Cape, South Africa) with our backpacks.
A long weekend at Cathedral Peak in the Drakensberg Myself at a trout dam about 1.5km from the hotel - posing for Conroy.
Cathedral Peak, Drakensberg, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.
Our indigenous garden.
Jakaranda trees in soft early morning light. This is truly nature at its best.

At a school rugby festival of our youngest god son, Kyle. The festival was held at Linden High School in Johannesburg.

Matric farewell shoot and a sneak peek.
Marié-Louise {ML} and her family visited us and she mentioned that she has this unusual matric farewell dress in mind. The dress had to have different panels and onto each panel different embellishments had to be sewn. I am sure you will agree that the end result is totally unique.

It seems in South Africa Life is good to both people and animals. Nature is fabulous, the weather is friendly, children are cute, and everything's getting ready to host the Soccer World Cup.
Good Luck!

First of all, a big WOW! That's an awesome trip! Is Cyprus far from Africa?

Do you know that I've long wanted to visit South Africa? I love the wildlife, the safari, the way the sun sets behind those scenes.

Looks like you really had a lot of time. Nothing beats the fun of traveling with your loved ones and of course, capturing the memories and reliving them.

I really enjoy your posts, feels like I'm traveling with you, too.^^
