The Greek island of Santorini or Thera is located in the Cyclades islands, in the middle of the Aegean Sea . Santorini, and Mykonos, are the most famous Greek holiday destinations.

Santorini is essentially what remains of an enormous volcanic explosion, leading to the creation of the current geological caldera.

Its spectacular physical beauty, along with a dynamic nightlife, have made the island one of Europe’s tourist hotspots.

It is a small group of volcanic islands and its name was given by the Venetians in reference to Saint Irene.

The island of Santorini is related to the myth of Atlantis.

The island of Santorini Greece is considered one of the most beautiful areas not only in Greece.

Its volcanic landscape, the amazing views and the breathtaking sunsets have made this island world famous, attracting thousands of visitors every year.

The island complex of Santorini lies in the south end of the Aegean Sea. It is the southwest complex of Cyclades and consists of the island of Thira, Thirassia and Aspronhsi.

Today, Santorini is the only inhabited Caldera (volcano cauldron) in the world.

The towns and villages sit densely on top of the massive cliffs of the Caldera.

Santorini is quite a small island, and it is easy to get around.

Η Σαντορίνη ένας από τους σημαντικούς τουριστικούς προορισμούς, βρίσκεται στο Νότιο Αιγαίο Πέλαγος, βόρεια από την Κρήτη στις Κυκλάδες. Είναι ένα από τα ομορφότερα νησιά στον κόσμο. Από πολλούς χαρακτηρίζεται σαν το «διαμάντι του Αιγαίου» που λάμπει.

Η Σαντορίνη συγκαταλέγεται στους 10 ομορφότερους τουριστικούς προορισμούς στον κόσμο.

Στο χείλος του γκρεμού, κρέμονται κυριολεκτικά, ολόκληρα χωριά , με θέα το ηφαίστειο και το μαγευτικό ηλιοβασίλεμα...

Η Σαντορίνη έχει κάτι το ξεχωριστό... τη μαγεία της Καλντέρας και την ιδιαιτερότητα του εδάφους της, που οφείλεται στις εκρήξεις του ηφαιστείου.

Η γεωλογική ιδιαιτερότητα της Σαντορίνης είναι μοναδική και κόβει την ανάσα.
