What's really great about where we live is that each year, a small town nearby, the town of  Nea Michaniona, holds an extra special  event for the local children.
Αυτό που είναι πραγματικά είναι ωραίο εκεί πού ζούμε, είναι ότι κάθε χρόνο, σε μια μικρή κοντινή πόλη, στην πόλη της Νέας Μηχανιώνας, οργανώνεται μια μοναδική εορτή για τα παιδιά της περιοχής.
 
Santa Claus (Agios Vassilis) arrives on a boat bearing gifts for all of the children eagerly waiting. 
Ο Άγιος Βασίλης έρχεται σε βάρκα, με δώρα για όλα τα παιδιά που περιμένουν με ανυπομονησία.
We were early- which meant that we had plenty of time to indulge in the cotton candy that was being sold.
Είχαμε φτάσει νωρίς-πράγμα που σήμαινε ότι είχαμε αρκετό χρόνο για να απολαύσουν τα παιδιά το βαμβάκι-παγωτό.
The kids are always amazed when they watch the cotton candy being made.
Τα παιδιά πάντα διασκεδάζουν όταν παρακολουθούν πως γίνεται το βαμβάκι-παγωτό.

Young scouts row the boat that brings Santa Claus (Agios Vassilis) to the shore. 
Νεαροί πρόσκοποι βοηθούν με το δέσιμο της βάρκας στην προκυμαία, που φέρνει τον Άγιο Βασίλη στην ακτή.
The children are so excited to see Santa Claus (Agios Vassilis). (In the photo is Izabella).
Τα παιδιά είναι τόσο ενθουσιασμένα βλέποντας τον Άγιο Βασίλη (Στη φωτογραφία η Ιζαμπλέλα).

Santa Claus (Agios Vassilis) could be seen off in the distance, waving red flares.  Definitely exciting.
Ο Άγιος Βασίλης φαίνεται μακριά στο βάθος, κουνώντας με κόκκινες φωτοβολίδες. Σίγουρα συναρπαστικό θέαμα. Και του χρόνου!

    Cheryl Chatzin - C.C. the same initials as those of Claudia Cardinale ,the famous italian movie star of the past, and not less beautiful than her.

    The Santa Claus event for the children of Nea Mechaniona is amazing, and the pictures say it all.

    Unbelievable! Snow in Greece is something difficult to understand. In my mind, Greece is sun, sea, sand, vacation, Retsina and wonderful people :)
