 Mykonos is one to the most cosmopolitan islands in Greece, known for its diversity and intense nightlife.

Η Μύκονος είναι το πιο κοσμοπολίτικο νησί στην Ελλάδα, γνωστό για την ποικιλία και έντονη νυχτερινή ζωή.

Most probably, Mykonos is the most famous and the most popular Greek island among travellers in Greece.

Η Μύκονος είναι ίσως το πιο γνωστό και το πιο δημοφιλές Ελληνικό νησί μεταξύ των ταξιδιωτών στην Ελλάδα.

"Paraportiani" is the most popular and the most photographed of the almost 400 churches of the island.

Η Παραπορτιανή είναι η πιο δημοφιλής και ο πιο πολυφωτογραφημένη από τις 400 σχεδόν εκκλησίες, που υπάρχουν στο νησί.

The construction of the church is so unique because of the asymmetrical conglomeration of 4 churches into one.

Η κατασκευή της εκκλησίας είναι τόσο μοναδική λόγω της ασύμμετρης  ενοποίησης τεσσάρων εκκλησιών σε μία.

The church was constructed during the middle of the 15th century A.D.

Η εκκλησία κατασκεύαστηκε κατά τη διάρκεια του μισού του 15 αιώνα μ.Χ.

The name derives from the word "porta" (door in Greek), as it was  build right next to the entrance of the medieval castle.

Η 'Παραπορτιανή' πήρε το όνομα της από το γεγονός ότι βρίσκεται δίπλα στη μικρή πύλη του μεσαιωνικού κάστρου (το παραπόρτι).

The church is the most important element of the castle area.

Η εκκλησία είναι το πιο σημαντικό κομμάτι από την περιοχή του παλιού κάστρου.

The sloping of which is made up of four white small chapels with vernacular and Byzantine idioms.

Η κλίση της οποίας αποτελείται από τέσσερα λευκά ξωκλήσια με ιδιώματα λαϊκής και βυζαντινής αρχιτεκτονικής.

This architectural masterpiece is made up of five chapels (four built on the ground and the fifth on the top of them.

Αυτό το αρχιτεκτονικό αριστούργημα αποτελείται από πέντε παρεκκλήσια (τέσσερα χτισμένα στο έδαφος και το πέμπτο στην κορυφή τους.

The church of Paraportiani in Mykonos is devoted to Panayia (Vergin Mary).

Η εκκλησία της Παραπορτιανής είναι αφιερωμένη στην Παναγία.

Apart of the main church, the other churches around it are: Agios Sozontas, Agioi Anargyri, Agia Anastasia and Agios Efstathios.

Οι άλλες εκκλησίες είναι του Αγίου Σώζοντος, των Αγίων Αναργύρων, της Αγίας Αναστασίας και του Αγίου Ευστάθιου.
