Antony is a city in France, in the southern suburbs of Paris, chief town of the arrondissement of Hauts-de-Seine. The name of the city comes from a rich Gallo-Roman land owner called Antonius.

A few kilometres southern Paris, the park of Sceaux is a heaven of greenery. Lined by 4 municipalities: Sceaux, Bourg la Reine, Antony and Chatenay-Malabry.

The building in the pictures is actually the park's Chateau - it's a real chateau that now
serves as a museum. During the French Revolution, the castle was destroyed.

The word "sceau" in French means "seal" in English... Not the animal but like when you seal a letter with wax and put an initial in the wax... like in the olden days...

Alex and I took a walk in our favourite park, the Parc de Sceaux, yesterday.

There was still a lot of snow on the ground and the kids were enjoying themselves in the snow.

We had fun in the cold and the park looked absolutely beautiful dressed in snow!

Snow everywhere and the kids love it!

I especially enjoyed seeing families frolicking in the snow...

As you know, we don't do that in Southern California...

So, it was a new sight for me to discover!

This is where the joggers and the walkers meet in search of space and of peace.

Η Antony είναι μια πόλη στη Γαλλία, στα νότια προάστια του Παρισιού, του διαμερίσματος Hauts-de-Seine. Το όνομα της πόλης προέρχεται από ένα πλούσιο Γαλλο-Ρωμαίο ιδιοκτήτη γης με το όνομα Antonius.

Λίγα χιλιόμετρα νότια του Παρισιού, βρίσκεται το πάρκο της Sceaux είναι ουρανό πράσινο. Το μοιράζονται 4 γειτονικοί δήμοι: του Sceaux, Bourg la Reine, Antony και Chatenay-Malabry.

Το κτήριο στις φωτογραφίες είναι ένα παλατάκι που τώρα λειτουργεί ως μουσείο.

Η λέξη "sceau" στα γαλλικά σημαίνει "σφραγίδα".

Κάναμε μια βόλτα με τον Alex στο αγαπημένο μας πάρκο Parc de Sceaux.

Υπήρχε ακόμα πολλή χιόνια, και τα παιδάκια έπαιζαν με τη ψυχή τους μέσα στο χιόνι.

Τα πιτσιρίκια λατρεύουν το χιόνι και παίζουν αδιάκοπα μαζί του.

Μου άρεσε ιδιαίτερα που είδα οικογένειες να διασκεδάζουν, παίζοντας με το χιόνι...

Όπως γνωρίζετε, δεν έχουμε την ευκαιρία να κάνουμε το ίδιο στη Νότια Καλιφόρνια...

Έτσι, για μένα ήταν μια νέα οπτική ανακάλυψη!
