Peloponnese is one of the most authentic and welcoming parts of Greece. Despite of hosting some of most important ancient sites, it tracts large of unspoiled natural beauty, gorgeous unspoiled beaches and picturesque towns and villages. 
Η Πελοπόννησος είναι ένα από τα πιο αυθεντικά και φιλόξενα μέρη της Ελλάδας. Παρά το ότι φιλοξενεί μερικούς από τους πιο σημαντικούς αρχαιολογικούς χώρους, υπάρχουν μεγάλες εκτάσεις παρθένας φύσης, όμορφες παρθένες παραλίες, γραφικά χωριά και πόλεις.

Epidavros was a small city in ancient Greece, at the Saronic Gulf. Two modern towns bear the name Epidavros: Palia Epidavros and Nea Epidavros.

Η Επίδαυρος ήταν μια μικρή πόλη στην αρχαία Ελλάδα, στο Σαρωνικό Κόλπο. Δύο σύγχρονες πόλεις φέρουν το όνομα Επίδαυρος: Η Παλιά Επίδαυρος και η Νέα Επίδαυρος.

 

Like many other Greek villages, it is very picturesque with traditional houses, and narrow streets built into a slop of Mount Akros.

Όπως και πολλά άλλα ελληνικά χωριά, είναι πολύ γραφική με τα παραδοσιακά σπίτια και τα στενά δρομάκια χτισμένη σε μια πλαγιά του όρους Άκρος.

 

On the north side of the harbor the ruins of the ancient sunken city are located.
Στη βόρεια πλευρά του λιμανιού βρίσκονται τα ερείπια της αρχαίας βυθισμένης πόλης.

The flora of Greece is the richest in Europe with approximately 5000 plant species, half of which can be found on the Peloponnese. Of the 950 species unique to Greece, 510 grow on the Peloponnese.

Η χλωρίδα στην Ελλάδα είναι η πλουσιότερη στην Ευρώπη με περίπου 5000 είδη φυτών, τα μισά από τα οποία βρίσκονται στην Πελοπόννησο. Από τα 950 είδη μοναδικά στην Ελλάδα, 510 αναπτύσσονται στην Πελοπόννησο.

The village counts on an exuberant flora, since apart from the olive trees, it has large pines and orange trees. Citrus fruit and grapes are among the most important crops.
Το χωριό έχει μια πληθωρική χλωρίδα, αφού εκτός από τα ελαιόδεντρα, έχει μεγάλα πεύκα και πορτοκαλιές. Ελιές, εσπεριδοειδή και σταφύλια είναι από τις πιο σημαντικές καλλιέργειες.

Next to the natural port of Epidavros a peninsula called Island, which houses the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus is located.

Δίπλα στο φυσικό λιμάνι της Επιδαύρου υπάρχει μία χερσόνησος που ονομάζεται Νησί και στην οποία βρίσκεται το Αρχαίο Θέατρο της Επιδαύρου.

There are two natural bays with clean water. One of them is used as a harbour in the area.

Υπάρχουν δύο φυσικοί όρμοι με καθαρό νερό. Ένας από αυτούς χρησιμοποιείται ως το λιμάνι της περιοχής.

Here is where the first National Assembly took place in December 1821. In this important meeting, the colours of  blue and white of the Hellenic flag were officially established. Also the constitution of Epidavros was drafted in that occasion.
Εδώ έγινε η πρώτη Εθνοσυνέλευση το Δεκέμβριο του 1821. Ήταν τότε, που καθιερώθηκαν το μπλε και το λευκό ως τα επίσημα χρώματα της Ελληνικής σημαίας. Επίσης συντάχθηκε το Σύνταγμα της Επιδαύρου.
