Skagen is a beautiful village in the north of Denmark. At the farthest northern tip of Denmark the Baltic meets the North Sea. The area is called Jutland and there we also find Europe’s largest desert.

The light is very special there and that’s why it has attracted artists for centuries.

There you will find the village of Skagen.

A little further south west there is another hamlet called “Gammel Skagen” (Old Skagen).

It is mostly very rich people who have their holiday homes there.

These houses do no look all too expensive form the outside. You can therefore easily be fooled about their value. But make no mistake about it! Real estate prices are sky high there!

But mother nature is still at its most beautiful here.

Endless beaches, all along Denmark’s west coat. By the way, I think Denmark has something like 8000 kilometres coast… Imagine that! Such a tiny country with only a little more than 5 millions inhabitants!

The area is called Jutland and there we also find Europe’s largest desert.

However, the desert is alive and moving and it has, amongst other things, already buried this old church. Only the top of the tower is till visible!

Sand, everywhere you look…

The idyllic and plain looking hamlet.

But don’t count on your house by the beach being a long-term investment!

Στο βόρειο άκρο της Δανίας η Βαλτική συναντά τη Βόρεια Θάλασσα. Το φως εδώ είναι πολύ ιδιαίτερο. Γι’ αυτό το λόγο, για αιώνες τώρα, προσελκύσει διάφορους καλλιτέχνες. Εδώ υπάρχει το μικρό χωριό Skagen. Αλλά λίγο πέρα νοτιοδυτικά υπάρχει ακόμη ένα χωριουδάκι που ονομάζεται το παλιό Skagen. Μένουν κυρίως πολύ πλούσιοι οι οποίοι έχουν τα εξοχικά τους.

Αυτά τα σπίτια εξωτερικώς δεν φαίνονται όλα πολύ ακριβά. Έτσι, μπορεί εύκολα να ξεγελαστείτε για την αξίας τους. Αλλά, δεν είστε σίγουροι για αυτό! Οι τιμές των ακινήτων βρίσκονται στα ύψη εδώ! Η Μητέρα Φύση, εξακολουθεί να βρίσκεται στα πιο ωραία της εδώ. Υπάρχουν απέραντες παραλίες, σε όλο το μήκος της δυτικής ακτής της Δανίας. Με την ευκαιρία, νομίζω ότι η Δανία έχει κάτι παραπάνω από 8.OOO χιλιόμετρα ακτών. Για φανταστείτε το αυτό! Μια τέτοια μικρή χώρα με μόνο λίγο περισσότερο από 5 εκατομμύρια κατοίκους!

Η περιοχή ονομάζεται Jutland και είναι εδώ επίσης που βρίσκουμε τη μεγαλύτερη έρημο της Ευρώπης. Πάντως, η έρημος έχει ζωή και κινείται. Μεταξύ άλλων, έχει ήδη θάψει την παλιά αυτή εκκλησία. Μόνον η κορυφή του καμπαναριού είναι ορατή!

Η άμμος βρίσκεται παντού, όπου και να κοιτάξεις... Το ειδυλλιακό και απλοϊκό χωριουδάκι. Αλλά μην υπολογίζεται ότι το σπιτάκι σας στην παραλία μπορεί να είναι μια μακροπρόθεσμη επένδυση! Η θάλασσα δεν ξέρει από ευχαριστώ! Η θέα προς τη Βρετανία. (Φτάνουμε εκεί μετά από 18 ώρες με το φέρρυ ...)
