The Spanish Village (Pueblo Espanol), Barcelona, Spain

The Spanish Village (Pueblo Espanol) was built in 1929 for the occasion of the Barcelona International Exhibition.

The Pueblo Español brings together some actually quite attractive traditional architecture from all over Spain and stuffs it full of handicraft and souvenir shops.

Concerts and other cultural activities are taken place in hot summer nights.

Strolling in the narrow streets of the village.

Barcelona is one of those cities in Europe that I would love to visit one day. I have only visited Madrid and Majorca. Despite its touristy character Majorca is a gorgeous island. And this is a great blog, Phivos.

@ Anastasia. Thank you Anastasia for your generous comments! Your blog is just excellent!

@ Presbyterian Gal. Please note that this is a FAIR and not a real city or village. Most of the buildings, have only their facade.

@ Cheryl. It is a beautiful touristic spot in Barcelona.

@ stalamatia.

@ Protege. You do need to travel and come to Cyprus again one day! Thank you for your kind comment.

@ MedaM. Thank you for your nice comment. I'm afraid though that I can't reach the level of your excellent photos!
