Halkidiki region is one of the most famous areas of Greece. Besides the beautiful beaches, crystal sea, natural beauty, beautiful small islands and picturesque villages, there are archeological treasures.
Halkidiki, is located in the north part of Greece, near the city of Thessaloniki (Salonica). It is consisted of three prongs, Cassandra, Sithonia and Mt. Athos reaching into the Aegean Sea.

Sithonia is the second peninsula of Halkidiki. The exciting landscape of this middle prong appeals to nature lovers.

The beaches of Halkidiki are famous worldwide and have the reputation of being the best beaches of Greece, with crystal-clear blue waters and wonderful sandy beaches.

In Sithonia and about 4 kilometers from the small harbor of Agios Nicolaos is located the Ormos of Panayias (Panagia Bay).
The the Ormos of Panagia is used as a fishing pier and for ships taking travelers to Agio Oros.
